Mo Chavez is one of the founding members of SaucedoChavez P.C., as well as one of the shareholders of the firm. Mo is a native of New Mexico and had the opportunity to graduate from the University of New Mexico School of Law. He is very involved in his practice and provides guidance and direction for the attorneys in the firm’s Albuquerque offices.
Prior to joining SaucedoChavez P.C., Mo was the Superintendent of Insurance for the state of New Mexico, as well as the State Gaming Representative for the New Mexico Gaming Control Board. He was also awarded the position of Vice President of Operations for the National Guaranty Insurance Co. Mo has given many presentations on healthcare reform and insurance law for organizations around the country, including the American Bar Association.

Mo Chavez began his journey into law through his education and Bar Admissions. He graduated from the University of San Diego in 1995 with his B.A. Mo then went on to attend law school at the University of New Mexico, and graduated in 1998 receiving his J.D. Following this, he was admitted into the State Bar of New Mexico in 1999. Mo Chavez was also admitted into the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico during the year of 2010. He then went on to be admitted into the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in 2012.

Mo takes great pride in his involvement with many professional associations during his career that reflect his focus on diversity. These include being on the Board of Directors for the Albuquerque Hispano Chambers of Commerce, being on the Alumni Board of Directors for the University of New Mexico School of Law, and being a Member of the New Mexico Board of Hispanic Bar Association. His accolades include being an AV Peer Reviewed Attorney, Martindale – Hubbell and being awarded the Albuquerque Diverse Business Leader Award by Albuquerque Business First in 2017. He was also graciously named Top 40 Under 40 Business Professionals in the New Mexico Business weekly in 2006.
Mo is deeply invested in improving the lives of people in his community. He is actively involved with diversity-related organizations and activities concerning Hispanics and Latinos. When he isn’t hard at work, Mo enjoys unwinding from a stressful day by escaping to his gourmet kitchen. Much like his professional life, Mo excels at working tirelessly to uncover hidden flavors and new creations with his culinary efforts.
